Most 90’s kids remember the Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers! from the world famous show release in 1993 to toys, action figures, and comics, this franchise has been called generation defining!
Origins Story
From its 1993 beginnings derived from the footage of popular Japanese TV series Super Sentai, The Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers developed quickly into a 1990’s pop culture phenomenon with timeless action figures, and engaging comics. The Power Rangers Iconic style and crazy cool fighting skills, were a core model of friendship, teamwork, and strength for the millennial generation.
Five “teenagers with attitude” are chosen, and given coins by the wise sage Zordon, and his assistant Alpha 5. These coins give them their super human abilities channeled through the spirits of each a different type of dinosaur, and the battles against Rita Repulsa’s tricks, and monsters begin!
Through many misadventures, and karate classes, the Power Rangers – Jason Lee Scott (Tyranasaurous Rex), Trini Kwan (Sabretooth Tiger), Kimberly Hart (Pterodactyl), Zack Taylor (Mastodon), and Billy Cranston (Triceratops) and eventually, the green ranger: Tommy Oliver (Dragonzord), become an inseparable group of friends, and an unstoppable team as they learn more about their new superhuman abilities, arsenal of weapons, and Zords.

90’s Pop Culture
Since these humble beginnings in the early 1990’s The Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers franchise grew in popularity, every kid wanted their own Power Rangers Action Figure, to follow along on more of the Power Rangers adventures through the comic books, and so much more! The Franchise still holds a special nostalgic place in the hearts of the many 90’s kids who grew up watching the iconic show, and reminds them of simpler days of wanting to save the world, and still make it home for dinner before the streetlights turned on.

Millenials Today
The Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers were based on the ideas of unity, teamwork, and friendship. Each power ranger was relatable and quirky in their own way, and every 90’s kid wanted to be their friend!
These values of teamwork, friendship, and unity, contributed greatly to the Millienial Generation as most Millenial run workplaces now run more collaboratively, and focus on building a workplace community rather than hierarchy. Though Power Rangers is not single handedly responsible for this, we believe that the Power Rangers franchise had a big part in shaping these values into us 90’s kids as we’ve grown into adults, professionals, and business owners.
